I sometimes have Adult Dogs looking for Retirement Pet Homes. This is one of the hardest decisions that I have to make for my dogs, so I do not expect to hear from timewasters. If you genuinely believe that you can offer a permanent, forever loving home to one of my beloved doggies, please contact me.
Pups Available
Please check my Pups Available Page to see the Pups I currently have for sale. If you are not quite ready for your new puppy, contact me for details of my waiting list for future litters. It would be helpful to include details about yourself and the home life that you are offering to one of my pups.

Hi Jan Brenda Ian and Mikka x |

Hi Jan, Just wanted to update you on little Bonnie’s first week with us! She has settled in so well and is already sleeping through the night. She is a little bundle of energy and is always making us smile (and tired ). She has a wonderful personality and is so funny when her little cheeky side comes out. She is a confident little pup and doesn’t seem phased by anything! Bonnie went for her first walk on Friday and she absolutely loved it. She got so much attention with lots of ooohs and ahhs from everyone we met she walked really well on her lead and even found a little stick to carry along with her She has also been for her vet check and the vet was very happy with her, she now weighs 1.2kg! She is still being a little bit fussy with her food but she’s improved a lot over the week. We tried her with some scrambled egg and chicken and rice the first few days which she loved but she is now back on the raw food and eating a lot better. My brother came over today with their two Maltese dogs and Bonnie absolutely loved them! Within minutes she was jumping all over them and chasing them round the garden showing them who’s boss so she’s now flat out asleep after a busy day making new friends! We’re taking her to Chester tomorrow to get her used to new people and sounds and there’s a lovely big park there that she’ll love! We are so glad little Picollo found a new home along with Titch, she is such a gorgeous pup I hope she’s settled in well. Hope you and your biewer puppies are doing well, I’m sure they’re keeping you busy! Thank you again for everything and for our special little girl Bonnie, we love her so much ️ I have attached some pictures of Bonnie, hope you enjoy them. Take care and speak soon, Janet, Peter, Nat and lots of kisses from Bonnie xx |
Apple (Toy Schnoodle) |
Hello Jan,
Just thought I’d drop you a line.
We have thoroughly enjoyed our first
week with Apple and she seems to be
settling in well. She takes everything
in her stride and is sleeping pretty
well.
She had her first walk on a lead today
and coped without too much struggle. We
even encountered some horses-a but too
big for her! Apple has now curled up at
my feet exhausted from her adventures.
The heat we are experiencing has meant
that relaxing by the fan has become an
essential part of the day. I hope you
and your charges are coping with it
also.
Thank you again for all that you have done to create our special girl.

Milo (Toy Poodle) |
Hello Jan, it’s Franco here. I’m 6 months old now and I’ve just been to the groomer, so you can see how handsome I am! I’m being well cared for and love my food (I now weigh 4kg exactly), though I’m not keen on the pesky cats in the house - you’d think they’d take the hint and move out. I hope you and all your dogs and pups are well and that your male black poodle pups find good homes - I’m sure they will. The next time I’m in Scotland I’ll try to visit you; at the minute I’m making regular visits to a place called Doolin on the west coast of Ireland - the house is great because it has no cats. I’ll send you my news from time to time and hope to hear from you when you have time to write. Love from Milo (and Carmel and Ian). |
Ripley (Min. Schnauzer) |
Hi Jan,
....Ripley..... has continued to be an
absolute dream. Nights two and three passed
without a peep. Still toileting outside and
travelling beautifully in the car. The vet
was super pleased with both her and her
puppy pack yesterday. She weighed in at
2.25(ish) kg and behaved very well.
I took her to a local pet shop to get
measured for a harness yesterday immediately
after the vet’s. There was a massive, young
- so exuberant and playful -Rottweiler on
lead by the entrance. Grayson (owners'
son) did much better than he normally
would have, although he was still a bit
nervous, which is understandable when a dog
is almost as tall as you! I think he’s
already calmer around strange dogs. Ripley
was the best though. She sat down a short
distance away (on lead), looked at that
giant beast and growled. She didn’t shake or
behave anxiously that I could see, but she
let him know she wasn’t for his ideas of
playing. I just thought, ‘On yersel my
girl.’ The woman working in the shop
couldn’t believe how well-behaved she was.
She said pups usually go mad. The treat bins
are quite low so very tempting and
nose-stimulating. Ripley gave a few curious
sniffs but didn’t try to help herself. She
sat nicely beside me while the lady talked
me through their raw food options. We are
going to switch her over when she is nearly
finished the bag of dry she has.
We have visitors starting to come round
today to get her used to folk coming and
going and to kids flying about, but I can’t
see it phasing her. She was perfect at my
eldest son’s when I had to do a bit of
emergency granddaughter sitting as well. Not
bothered with baby noises or toys and was
the perfect pup once again.
I have said to my friends that I will stop
gushing about her, but can’t guarantee when!
So hopefully we can get that reunion video
to you in future. It’ll be a fun thing for
dogs and humans!
Thanks again for all your hard work in
giving us the best dog ever.

Good morning Jan, Hope you and all your babies are doing well. My apologies for not being in touch sooner I’ve been cocooned in the “I’m so in love with Rosie” bubble. Oh my goodness Jan she is the most wonderful loving bundle of joy with a very entertaining mischievous little personality. Best six weeks of my life. Everyone absolutely adores her. She is doing great, house trained, crate trained (she loves her crate) and basic commands and other training going well too. She seems to have had a sudden growth spurt this week. I don’t know how much she weighed when I collected her but at her Vet check on the 6th April she weighed 1.3kg and she is now 2kg I don’t know how that fits in with expectations for her age etc but she is healthy and happy She sends lots & lots of love to you, Mummy Doris & Daddy Noddles Take care Mary & Rosie xx |

Hi Jan, Just a wee update on Toby, he’s getting on great, he’s such a good pup. He has settled into our routine so quickly and it’s lovely having a dog back in our lives. He picks up new things very quickly and house training has been going really well, he’s learned to be really quick when the weather is awful which is great! No standing around in the rain! He’s not too keen on walks, but once we get going he’s fine, although we don’t go far yet as he’s still little. I’m so glad we went for a Chihuahua, I can’t imagine having a big dog now. I am trying not to spoil him though but he is a real Mummy’s boy! Anyway, I hope you are well and I’m so glad we got our pup from you, the puppy pack was so helpful and everything was covered. It was really reassuring to have all the information there. It’s obvious you care a great deal for your dogs. Thank you for such a great boy! ️ Jacqueline xx |

Hi Jan,
I hope this email finds you and your dogs
well. I thought I would send you a wee
update on Henry as it is exactly one month
today since he joined our family
.
Henry continues to be an absolute delight.
He is so chilled and relaxed - taking
everything in and missing nothing. He
enjoys going for walks although he is a bit
like a car on a cold morning; difficult to
start but once he gets going... As soon as
he sees his lead being lifted he turns and
runs to his crate. Gentle persuasion soon
wins him over.
In the month of July Henry visited and was
introduced to the vet and a local (and
recommended) dog groomer (who instantly fell
in love with him). He has been camping with
us down to Campbeltown which he loved - he
slept in the same room in the tent as us and
had freedom of movement re which sleeping
bag to curl up beside. When out for walks
he has met loads of other dogs and received
heeps of attention and compliments. There
are a few regular furry friends we bump into
which inevitably leads to a play around the
field. One of his ‘friends’ is a young
American boxer which we’re sure only plays
with Henry for a wee shot of his ball
.
Henry loves the run around tho’ and weaves
in and out between the boxer’s long legs.
His other wee pal is a two year old black
min schnauzer called Oscar who doesn’t run
around the same as the boxer with him but is
very patient with him.
A few people have asked where we got him and
I have directed them to your website.
I have attached a few photos of Henry - he
has grown so much in a month and is turning
into quite a character. We had our second
visit to the vet yesterday for weighing,
flea and worm treatment and he weighed in at
5.5 kg.
All is going well with Henry and we adore
him apart from the cat but a good
understanding is developing between them and
she now just tends to ignore him in her own
special feline manner
Wishing you well and hoping the hot weather
didn’t present you with too many challenges.
Kind Regards,
Claire

Hello Jan, I hope you are well and you had a lovely Christmas and new year. I have attached some photo of Lottie, she’s doing amazing! We could not imagine life without her! She is a little hoover with food though :) as you know she was a gift for Faith, I knew it was a joint responsibility because Faiths is still young but Lottie is well and truly my dog she goes everywhere with me, the shops, work, she sits in the front seat of the car just gazing at everyone. I took her to the goomers today, and she looks like a little schnauzer now, but I miss the puppy curls so we may let it grow a bit. She’s currently laid on the bed next to me while I’m emailing you, she shares both mine and Faiths beds she’s so spoilt but we would t have it any other way. I will keep I touch and keep sending you photos. Take care Love Michelle, Faith & Lottie xx |
